The Mission of St. Philip the Apostle School is to provide a child centered learning environment in which the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical needs of each child are met.

In addition our Schoolwide Learning Expectations call us to help our students become well rounded individuals who can exhibit good sportsmanship as well as show confidence in and self expression through athletic abilities.

St. Philip the Apostle School provides a comprehensive after-school athletic program that aims to meet the needs of all our children and fulfill our Mission and Schoolwide Learning Expectations. Every child who tries out for a sport at St. Philip the Apostle receive placement on one of our teams. No child is ever cut at St. Philip the Apostle!

St. Philip the Apostle school participates in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) league and adheres to its policies and procedures.

Students at St. Philip the Apostle School have the opportunity to participate in the following sports:

Fall

• Cross Country: 3rd to 8th grade, co-ed.
• Flag Football: 5th to 8th grade, co-ed.
• Girls Volleyball: 5th to 8th grade.

Winter

• Boys Basketball: 5th to 8th grade
• Girls Basketball: 5th to 8th grade

Spring

• Track: 3rd to 8th grade, co-ed.
• Boys Volleyball: 6th to 8th grade
• Girls Softball: 6th to 8th grade.

In addition St. Philip the Apostle periodically participates in tournaments held by CYO, including Golf, Bowling, or Baseball.

To Obtain a Sports Uniform

If your child needs a uniform for sports, they can be paid for in the school office and Coach Weatherall will deliver the uniform to your child. For students that have Coach Weatherall for PE, please send money with your child and they will get their uniform during PE, recess or lunchtime.

Cross-Country and Track Uniforms:

3rd through 6th Falcons Shirt: $15.00

7th and 8th Falcons Shirt: $20.00

Shorts can be ordered through CKW.

All Other Sport Teams

All 5th - 8th grade sports must wear falcons shorts that can be ordered through CKW.

Uniform top will be provided and returned at the end of the season.
