Ways to Give

Blessed Are the Children Annual Giving Campaign

Blessed Are the Children is our annual fund to bridge the gap between tuition and what it actually costs to educate a child at Saint Philip the Apostle School. For the 2023-24 school year, the gap was $1,500 per student.

PTO Fundraisers

Our Parent Teacher Organization hosts events throughout the year to support the school’s operating budget. Donors can support these events by being a sponsor, donating items, and attending the events.

1927 Society

As a way to commemorate the year St. Philip the Apostle School opened its doors, donors can join the 1927 Society to support our PTO. This collective sponsorship is a way to sponsor all three major PTO events: the Fall Fest, Jogathon, and the Red Tie Benefit.

Father Joe Moniz St. Philip the Apostle School

Educational Fund

Fr. Joe served St. Philip the Apostle Parish for 20 years as our pastor. To honor his legacy of supporting Catholic education, we established an endowment in his name at the Catholic Community Foundation of Los Angeles to support tuition assistance and the educational needs of all St. Philip the Apostle School students. As this endowment grows, our school will greatly benefit from financial stability in the future years.

D.C. Angels

Every Spring, the 8th graders have an opportunity to go to Washington D.C. for an educational trip. Students fundraise to pay for a portion of their cost. For some, the remaining expense is still a burden. D.C. Angels ensure every student will be able to participate in this special trip.

Michael Gates Memorial Scholarship Fund

In Spring 2024, a memorial scholarship fund was started with the family of Michael Gates, class of 2016 to honor Michael’s grace and kindness. A scholarship of $500 will be awarded to a St. Philip the Apostle 8th grader at graduation.

Friends of St. Philip the Apostle Fund

This fund is to financially support the mission of St. Philip the Apostle School such as operating expenses, facilities maintenance, teacher support, tuition assistance, or emergencies.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a method to make a charitable gift that is also favorable to you. The primary purpose is to strengthen the organization or cause that you support. Just as important however, is the tax savings and personal benefits that a well-matched plan will provide for you and your family.

Consulting with your financial planner or attorney is the first step to determine if this type of giving is beneficial to you and St. Philip the Apostle School.

In-Kind Donations

An in-kind gift is a tangible item that the school would otherwise have to purchase but that is instead given to St. Philip as donations, such as artwork, books, sporting equipment or furniture.

Principal's Circle Dinner

We gratefully acknowledge and honor donors who give $2,500 or more in a year at the Angel Donor Dinner held in January.
