St. Nicholas Day

As the crisp air of December rolls in, the students of St. Philip the Apostle School eagerly anticipate a beloved annual tradition. St. Nicholas Day, a festivity rooted in honoring the generosity of St. Nicholas, takes on a special meaning within the walls of our school.



On St. Nicholas Day, a wave of excitement sweeps through the corridors. Our students eyes sparkle with joy and anticipation. In line with our long-standing tradition, every student participates in a simple yet heartwarming ritual: leaving a shoe outside the classroom.


Then the magic happens. St. Nicholas, the epitome of kindness and giving, visits the school in the quiet hours. In each shoe, he leaves a "gift" - a token of love and a reminder of the spirit of giving that defines this season.


These "gifts" are more than just items; they are symbols of the caring and community spirit that St. Philip the Apostle

Members of our Student Council attended the 18th Annual LA Catholic Prayer Breakfast. One of our traditions is for our Student Council to attend this event each year.
